Flap
Flap turns the ceiling into a living surface. This suspended system is built from rotatable acoustic slats, each one adjustable to shape rhythm, light and movement overhead. Because every slat carries a different colour on each face, a single installation can shift its entire character with a simple turn.
Beneath the design sits serious performance. Made from two bonded panels of recycled polyester fibre, Flap absorbs sound where open-plan spaces need it most, reaching αw 0.80 with a 300 mm cavity and calming reverberation in busy rooms.
Its sustainability credentials run deep: recycled PET with Global Recycled Standard content, alongside LEED [Pass], BREEAM [Exemplary] and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. An iF Design Award 2024 winner, Flap comes in 16 felt colours, ready to define offices, meeting areas and hospitality spaces with equal ease.
Module: 2200 x 1175 mm.
Slat: 1157 x 200 mm [10 rotatable slats per module].
Profile system: U-profiles 2200 mm, M6 hanger, hangers and caps.
Recycled polyester fibre [PET], minimum 60% post-consumer content [Global Recycled Standard]. Each slat is made of 2 bonded panels of 9 mm fibre.
Measured with a 300 mm cavity.
Slats at 0°: αw = 0.80 [ISO] / NRC = 0.85 [ASTM].
Slats at 90°: αw = 0.45 [ISO] / NRC = 0.55 [ASTM].
For surface cleaning, spray a 75% alcoholic solution. For dust or lint, use a duster or vacuum cleaner. For heavy soiling, treat with hydrogen peroxide. Do not rub.
