Pixels Retractable Room Division
The Pixels Retractable Room Division, designed by Rafa Ortega, draws a room with a curtain of felt. Vertical slats of 12 mm ARCHISONIC® Felt, a PET felt with 60% certified post-consumer recycled content, hang from a ceiling rail, cut into chains of squares, hexagons or flowing drops, or left plain. Slide them to open or close a space, or rotate them to filter daylight, soften glare and control views, all while they absorb sound.
Each module is 1250 mm long and 2816 to 2853 mm high depending on the shape, trimmable on site and combinable side by side. Tested to ISO 354 and ISO 20189, a 2000 mm run adds 4.1 to 4.5 m² equivalent absorption area at 1000 Hz.
In 45 colours, the felt holds fire reaction class B-s1,d0 in most colours under EN 13501-1 and is certified Cradle to Cradle, Declare and SCS Recycled Content. Pixels brings flexible privacy and shade to offices, hospitality and learning spaces.
